Imaginarius has offers for kids

Portugal’s most important street art festival – Imaginarius – is coming to Santa Maria da Feira, and it brings various offers for children through Imaginarius Infantil. At the Imaginarius Festival, which runs from 23 to 25 May, there is much to see, do and hear with your family, in the public space of the historical centre of the city.

The afternoons of 24 and 25 May will be dedicated mainly to the children’s audience, with an offer of activities ranging from circus to theatre, music to multidisciplinary, to experiences and workshops, in a strong commitment of the Municipality of Santa Maria da Feira in the formation of new publics, stimulating in children the desire to enjoy, think and intervene in the public space.

In addition to providing unique experiences that children will surely remember – “Memory” is the main theme of the 19th edition of the festival -, Imaginarius Infantil makes it possible to strengthen the contact of the little ones with the artistic world, not only in the perspective of leisure, but also training, and awaken their creative interest.

“Hojas al Viento” (24 and 25, at 3.30pm and 6pm.), “Heliko” (24 and 25, 2.45pm and 4.30pm), “Caça Texturas” (2pm to 7pm), “Viagem de Memórias! Percurso Sonoro pelas Terras de Santa Maria (between 2.15pm and 6.30pm) and “Nas Alturas – Oficina de Artes de Circo – Aéreos”(24 and 25, from 2pm to 7pm) are the five main proposals of Imaginarius Infantil, which, along with the shows that integrate the main programme, Imaginarius Creations and Mais Imaginarius, promise the likely success of another edition of this International Street Arts Festival.

The festival of Santa Maria da Feira is totally free; has programming for all age groups; is family friendly and can be experienced by all; it’s “Accessible Imaginarius”. One of the multidisciplinary creations has an audio description service for people with visual impairment. The short version of the programme has a version in Braille. The festival venue includes several areas of preferential visibility for people with disabilities, as well as guided tours with practical information on accessible routes and activities. These visits will be interpreted in Portuguese Sign Language. Imaginarius also offers a changing room in Rossio.

Between 23 and 25 May, Santa Maria da Feira guarantees “Unique Moments. Unforgettable Memories”.
