The idea of this project is to create a universe of memories. There is nothing to understand once it’s over. What is left is the feeling of the experience we had, the memories. They repeat themselves, they are useless, abstract even, but they carry with them what is left from that place. ”Is it here? How do we know? If not, why are you still with me?” In BALLADE FOR A PLACE WE WERE, the fragility of contact juggling, the intensity of movement and the spookiness of the voice heard around combine to create the atmosphere of something so familiar that it’s impossible not remember it, like a place we all know but we are not sure where it is exactly; or maybe we only know it from a dream. There is a performer with objects; ball, microphone, loop station and lamps.
