Imaginarius Participa breaks participation record with around 200 applications

The Imaginarius family keeps on growing! In its 23rd edition, the Imaginarius Participa volunteer programme registered the highest participation ever, with around two hundred applications. Young people, adults and seniors share the expectation of living and feeling the festival in its essence, taking the front line in contacting with various audiences and artists.

The 10 years of Imaginarius Participa are thus marked with a record in this edition. The volunteers will form a multidisciplinary team that, between 25 and 28 May, is prepared to guide the public and provide them with all the necessary support and information, support the production and accompany artists and companies.

The youngest volunteer is 16 years old and the oldest 75. They have, therefore, different life experiences, but share the same interest in living or (reliving) the intricacies of one of the benchmark festivals in street arts in Portugal and abroad. They arrive from all over the municipality, the country, and from abroad.

The unique and enriching experiences that Imaginarius provides to every volunteer renews their desire to participate year after year. At the end of each edition, everyone leaves it feeling richer, with new personal and professional skills, new contacts, new friendships and many stories to tell.

The Imaginarius International Street Theatre Festival is coming to Santa Maria da Feira! Between 25 and 28 May, the historic centre of the city becomes a true stage for experiences where Portuguese and international artists and companies will perform, with traditional and contemporary shows. The Dream is the theme of this edition of Imaginarius. Shall we dream together?
