Imagine a giant globe with actors, dancers, trapeze artists and musicians, with various projections and pyrotechnic moments, challenging you to be an integral part of this energizing show. Ready for the big \u201cGlobe\u201d production? We will meet at 9.30pm on 24 and 25 May, in the grounds surrounding the Municipal Swimming Pools of Santa Maria da Feira.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>In its Portuguese premiere, \u201cGlobe\u201d is one of the main investments of the Municipality of Santa Maria da Feira for the main programme of the 19th edition of Imaginarius \u2013 International Street Theatre Festival, brought by the renowned Dutch company Close Act Theatre.<\/p>\n<p>Taking on the main theme of this edition \u2013 memory \u2013 \u201cGlobe\u201d touches on the oldest and longing memories kept by human beings: childhood memories.<\/p>\n<p>In an increasingly aging world, where the elders lost their devotion to simplicity, they tied themselves to routines, submitted to hierarchies, and were corrupted by the power of money. In this world, the envy of being a child compels the elders to organize themselves in an army of repression to children\u2019s imagination. An army that seeks to censor and prohibit the kids\u2019 freedom to fly or dream\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Part of the route of the biggest street arts festivals in Europe, Imaginarius is returning to the public spaces of the historic centre of Santa Maria da Feira, as well as the Ant\u00f3nio Lamoso\u00a0 Cine-Theatre, the Parish Church, the Municipal Market, the L\u00f3ios Museum and to the Municipal Library, between 23 and 25 May.<\/p>\n<p>With the intense, diversified and quality program that audiences have learned to expect for 18 consecutive years, the Imaginarius Festival brings together various artistic modalities, such as Theatre, Circus, Dance, Music and Virtual Reality, and is a privileged stage for large domestic and international companies, but also for emerging artists, local associations and artists, and local projects for creative and social intervention.<\/p>\n<p>Between 23 and 25 May, Santa Maria da Feira guarantees \u201cUnique Moments.
