As part of the twinning relations between Santa Maria da Feira (PT) and Jou\u00e9-l\u00e8s-Tours (FR), the partner municipalities open until 30 September, a Call for a multidisciplinary artistic co-creation, coordinated and directed by a professional from Santa Maria da Feira and another from the Metropolitan Area of Tours. The theme is Myth and it is inserted in the 20th edition of Imaginarius.
\n<\/strong>
\nThe multidisciplinary, intercultural and intergenerational artistic co-creation, conceived for the public space, will be a joint work involving professional and amateur artists, as well as the populations of each territory, around the theme Myth – \u201cthe basis of collective identities, marks the history, the memory, the daily life, the popular culture, the counterculture\u2026 \u201d.<\/p>\n

Call for artistic co-director is open until September 30, with the following requirements: being a professional of performing arts; have residence in the respective territories; have experience in implementing multidisciplinary artistic creations; have academic or professional training in staging and direction of artistic projects; have interest for collective projects that bring together different disciplines, cultures, generations, publics; and be inspired by\u00a0 the theme Myth, as well as by\u00a0 issues related to history, identity, heritage and culture.<\/p>\n

Proposals should be sent to programacao@imaginarius.pt<\/u> and coordination@le37e.fr<\/u>, accompanied by the following documents: letter of intent, defining the candidate’s motivation towards the project; and artistic curriculum, proving the artistic and professional experience in the area. The selection will be made by the promoters, after reading the proposals and interviewing the candidates. The selected candidate receives a \u20ac 3969 grant for writing, staging, residences, supervision and performances.<\/p>\n

The project for multidisciplinary artistic and collective co-creation arises from the twinning between the municipalities of Santa Maria da Feira and Jou\u00e9-l\u00e8s-Tours, and establishes a collaborative partnership between the Imaginarius Creation Centre and the 37\u00e8me Parall\u00e8le – Fabuleuse Manufacture of spectacles vivants. The artistic co-direction will be composed by a professional from Santa Maria da Feira and another from the territory of Tours M\u00e9tropole that will be responsible for the entire process of conception, artistic coordination and implementation.<\/p>\n

The final creation will be presented on the 20th edition of Imaginarius – International Festival of Street Theatre of Santa Maria da Feira, May 28-31, 2020, and at the Les Ann\u00e9es Jou\u00e9 International Street Arts Festival in Jou\u00e9-l\u00e8s-Tours, June 5-7, 2020. The aim is to foster cooperation between the cultural, operational, technical and institutional actors of the different territories and town councils involved.<\/p>\n

The project is promoted by the Municipality of Santa Maria da Feira and the Municipality of Jou\u00e9-l\u00e8s-Tours, through the theatre and street arts festivals they coordinate, as well as the artistic creation centres linked to the performing arts: Imaginarius Creation Centre and 37\u00e8me Parall\u00e8le.<\/p>\n
