The deadline for the submission of applications to the – Support for Local Creation Call, as part of Imaginarius – International Street Theatre Festival, ends on 31 October, thus continuing its policy of support, appreciation and involvement of local cultural and cultural agents. On 10 October, at 6:30 pm, a Clarification Session will be held at the Imaginarius Creation Centre, aimed at local artists and associations.
This Support for Local Creation Call may be attended by associations, local companies and independent artists, born or resident in the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, who want to present new artistic creations to be part the programming of the 20th edition of Imaginarius, which will take place between 28 and 31 May 28, 2020.
The projects to be presented should be original creations in the field of theatre, dance, music, circus, performance, installation, digital art, urban and multidisciplinary art, focused on interacting with public space and framed in the theme of the 2020 edition, “The Myth(s)”.
Four creations will be supported under this Call, preferably two projects from associations and two other projects from local companies and / or independent artists. Each of these artistic creations will receive a grant of 4,000 euros to support their development, production, travel expenses and presentation at the 2020 Imaginarius.
The Imaginarius management will evaluate the proposals based on their originality, interaction with the public / public space, multidisciplinarity of the artistic collectives, inclusion of strategies and tools to support accessibility, local community involvement and circulation capacity in domestic and international dissemination routes.
The results of this public call will be divulged until 30 November 2019.
