Walking through the city is not a neutral act. For some, it is an acquired right, for others, a condition of constant exposure, surveillance and risk. This action is situated within that structural imbalance, revealing how urban space continues to regulate who is allowed to occupy, cross and remain without being questioned.
Fabrics cover visible surfaces, neutralising immediate markers of gender and leaving exposed only a shared detail. A minimal element that concentrates a profound contradiction. What is common to all continues to be read unequally, activating mechanisms of censorship, control and judgement that vary according to who is moving through the space.
MAMIL(a)S creates direct friction with the city. The presence is collective and open, affirming the participation of diverse identities and refusing fixed or hierarchical readings. By shifting the gaze and exposing naturalised norms, the performance transforms circulation into an act of questioning and celebration, insisting on the street as a common, plural and contested space.
