There is a point where care ceases to protect and begins to tighten. An almost invisible point, where closeness turns into surveillance and intimacy becomes inscribed on the body as a persistent mark. TOO MUCH settles into this excess, where affection slowly slips into control and the desire to support becomes the difficulty of letting go.
Through dance, physical theatre and acrobatics, bodies cross, support and restrain one another. Embraces extend until they become constraints, balances turn into dependence, gestures of care gain weight. Extreme physicality exposes a continuous tension between protection and limitation, revealing how excess infiltrates muscles, breath and the relationship with the other.
In a context marked by anxiety, hyper-vigilance and the normalisation of control, this work stages paradoxes that are difficult to resolve. How to protect without dominating, to love without holding back, to care without invading. TOO MUCH exposes the conflict and allows it to vibrate through the body, the space and the gaze of the audience.
