Municipal Market

During the festival, the Santa Maria da Feira Municipal Market is transformed and takes on a new rhythm. An iconic space of everyday life becomes home to a market dedicated to vinyl, comics, fanzines and independent publishing, extending Imaginarius into the territories of editing, listening and graphic thinking.

This transformation takes place in collaboration with aMOSTr – Mostra de Edições Independentes, a project with a well-established national trajectory, which here assumes a new configuration designed specifically for the festival context. Through a selective and compact curatorial approach, the market brings together publishers, booksellers, musicians and visual creators, creating a space where searching, browsing, listening and conversation are part of the same experience.

Between stalls, exhibitions and moments of exchange, a living network is formed between those who create, those who publish and those who discover. The parallel programme, which includes readings, launches, talks, listening sessions and workshops, reinforces the market as an active space, where independent publishing enters into dialogue with the city and the present moment, celebrating processes, voices and ways of working outside dominant circuits.
