Comprising five works and eleven elements, this sculptural ensemble marks the 500th anniversary of the Festa das Fogaceiras.

Developed through a live studio process by the Cáster River, it allowed the local community to follow its creation over the course of more than a year. The fogaça structures the project, designed in a spiral at an inhabitable scale, while tools associated with its making were recreated and adapted into resting benches. The ensemble also includes seven fogaceiras. Executed in grey and white Portuguese granite, with a total weight of 10 tonnes, the project seeks to generate distinct responses through the spatial arrangement of its elements.
