Suspension creates an intermediate territory, a space where nothing is definitive and everything is in transformation. On a trapeze, the action settles into slowness, rejecting urgency and affirming time as material. Each gesture is prolonged, allowing the gaze to follow what changes, what shifts, what has not yet taken shape.
Inspired by the homonymous novel by Virginia Woolf, this solo moves across identities, landscapes and temporalities without seeking to fix them. The trapeze becomes, in turn, frame, shelter and passage, opening an unstable space where delicacy and strangeness coexist. Suspension reveals interstices, surfaces and silences, composing images that oscillate between beauty and unease.
Conceived as a poem in motion, Orlando proposes an experience of shared attention. It invites us to inhabit the threshold, to accept imbalance and to remain in that uncertain place where transformation occurs. A suspended time that resists acceleration and returns to common space the possibility of imagining other ways of being.
