THAW suspends time and shifts our gaze. High above, held in suspension, a solitary figure seeks balance atop tonnes of ice that slowly disintegrate in full view. Here, there is duration, effort and exposure.. What unfolds is not spectacle in the classical sense, but an extended presence before an irreversible process.
As the light changes and the ice melts, the body becomes the measure of real time. Every gesture carries fragility, resistance and heightened attention. The risk is not symbolic, it is real. Balance is always provisional. The space turns into a field of tension where nature, engineering and human action coexist on the same plane.
THAW is a powerful image of the present we inhabit. A silent act of resistance that calls for collective responsibility and shared attention, reminding us that the future does not announce itself, it is already under way. Here, urgency is not explained. It is felt. And there is no time to waste.
