Imaginarius – International Street Theater Festival of Santa Maria da Feira won the second prize of the 2018 Eventex Awards, in the category of Best Cultural Event. These awards, which recognize the best events around the world, were announced on 6 March. Imaginarius was the only Portuguese event on the list of 156 competitors from 35 countries.
Imaginarius, the largest Portuguese street arts festival and an international reference, competed against Rigoletto – Oper im Steinbruch (Media Apparat), which won the first prize, and Fantastic Gondolas 2017 (Lech Zürs Tourism GmbH), distinguished with the third prize.
Imaginarius, whose 18th edition will take place on 24, 25 and 26 May 2018, in the historic centre of Santa Maria da Feira, was the only Portuguese event included on the list of 156 competitors from 35 countries, finalists of the 8th edition of the Global Eventex Awards. The competition has a total of 26 categories, including Best Conference, Best Educational Event, Best Cultural Event, Best Technology Event, Best Pop-up Event, Best Corporate Event or Best Agency.
