A large-scale sculpture based on the Diorama series, whose intricate cut-out expresses the close relationship between human beings and the environment in which they work, a complex web of reciprocal influence that shapes and gives substance to this connection.

Produced in cork, the piece establishes a direct link to the cork industry, exploring the juxtaposition between the individual’s social and cultural identity and the industrial environment in which they operate. It also reflects on the role of industry within the economy and on the lack of investment that the secondary sector has experienced in Portugal over recent decades.
