Orfeo & Majnun is an intercultural, interdisciplinary and inclusive project, inspired by the Greek myth of Orfeo and Eurydice and the Arab love story between Layla and Majnun.
This project will seek to interpret the differences, similarities and, above all, the particularities of the vision of these two cultures on the themes of love, loss and longing.
Narrated from the feminine perspective of Layla & Eurydice, the opera will combine, through music and poetry, the mythological elements of the West with those of the East, punctuating these two stories with vitality and passion. The parts will be acted by international artists, who will be joined by local artists and community, uniting various origins and cultures.
