To what extent does the contemplation of art affect us?

Ponto de Partida – Travessia is a contemporary circus artistic research project on the subject and technique of funambulism, whose primary source of inspiration is the work and life of the artist Wassily Kandinsky. An artistic provocation is provided by contemplation. The wire tears the sky and delimits two parallel “worlds”. You cannot help noticing, it is almost impossible not to look at the sky and contemplate the creative writing developed by the funambulist on the wire. It is a walk in the form of meditation in search of meanings, colours and shapes for this new parallel reality that was formed. Through a bold and multidisciplinary research, one intends to compose a wandering visual work on the wire during the walk of the funambulist. Kandinsky’s quest to relate art to spirituality will also be present in this research.
