A break during a long journey. A moment of diverse landscapes, contrasts, a mixture of realities and meanings. The agricultural machine takes on a life of its own, roars, dances in the arena. Off-road men reveal their fragility, their strength, they seek balance. Together they alter nature, plow land, sow paths, harvest places, leave a trail.
This project seeks to address the fragile condition of humanity, its intervention in the transformation process of territories, the mosaic of landscapes and cultures, the industrial side of this overcoming of nature. A research on dichotomies: the rural and the urban, the old and the new, the traditions and contradictions, the definitive and the ephemeral, the natural and the artificial.
It is a new show for public space. A research that puts bodies and a tractor in dialogue through circus techniques. Acrobatics, object manipulation, the relationship of the body in space and with the machine.
An investigation into the force, drag, course and direction of whoever is pulling or being pulled. The machine, the system, power versus man, fragility and control. The tractor and its time, slow and strong, in opposition to today’s fast and fragile society.
