Once upon a time… there was a love story between two young Moors…
… this is the beginning of a beautiful but tragic story of the lost love of Zelina and Muley.
This love story was re-enacted and told by 11th grade students of the Coelho e Castro de Fiães Basic and Secondary School, who, based on a legend surrounding the Feira Castle, produced the script, built and manipulated the puppets, and immortalized their work in a short film, under the guidance of puppeteer Rui Sousa and the supervision of teacher Maria José Belinha.
The premiere of the short film Zelina and Muley: Um Amor Perdido will take place at the Lóios Convent Museum, followed by a talk involving all the participants and a few others… The conversation will focus on the experience, sharing of knowledge and feelings of all who somehow were involved in this project.
