The German Design Awards, international leading awards awarded by the design and communication center German Design Council, annually distinguish innovative products and projects, their manufacturers and designers. Divided into three categories – ‘Excellent Communications Design’, ‘Excellent Product Design’ and ‘Universal Design’ – they aim to discover, present and honor pioneering design solutions in areas such as sustainability, accessibility, visual aesthetics or technicality. The winners of the contest, which takes place at the Ambiente fair, one of the three largest in the industry, are “designed to the highest standards of design, separating them from the masses and enhancing their global presence.”
